I have had an architectural business since 1976. My office is located in the parlor of the historic Morgan House, built in 1898 by my husband's great grandfather. The house has undergone extensive historical "rehabilitation". I have a degree in architectural design from Arizona State University. Our first meeting will be either at my office or at your site to discuss how I conduct my business, explain my contract, and listen to what your plans are. There is no charge for this initial meeting and estimate of architectural services. If we are designing a residence or remodel I would like your home to reflect your lifestyle and make the most of its location. Ihave a respect for the natural environment and designing for your specific site is important. Energy efficiency is also important in my designs. Your needs will be translated into creative options that will shape an appropriate environment for your family. Iencourage clients to bring clippings, photos and ideas to synthesize into their plans. The design will be a democratic process through collaboration, so that we develop the project together. This will be your house that you live in. I have designed homes in a wide range of styles and scales to meet the needs of a variety of people. Non stylistic elements - proportion, scale, color, light and texture ar some of the driving forces of my work. I have done everything from historic styles to modern and contemporary, passive solar, "green architecture", photovoltaic and from 600 sq. ft. homes to 6000 sq. ft. homes and small commercial projects. Your investment will be protected by efficient space planning and detailing in terms that will assure accurate contractor estmates and approval by building departments.
